Long Thought of the Day March 23

I've been reading Rothbard's book "For a New Liberty: The Libertarian Manifesto" and realized just how much there is to economics and the yearning to expand freedom. It's truly an old struggle as old as the Sargon the first clamping the first historically record Empire in Mesopotamia (before Babylon) or even further back to the religious cults of the Ubaid culture in the same region that established city-states that monopolized perspectives about life thus suppressing free-thinking and freedoms in general (Ubaid culture see: http://swordlie.com/2009/03/14/cradle-of-the-state/ ).

Snap out of the Spell

There is a movement in art that is discussing how the internet helped provide space for political movements to emerge amidst economic collapse and environmental degradation. Thus, the internet helped bring back the dreams in people, but then the internet became a place where people got hooked and lost their dreaming ability to dream, again, due to listening to others without providing their own free thoughts, comments, and dreams... cyclic. hmm? Don't really know, just food for thought... (continues)

Dreams and Art: This is an awesome song.

Why does nobody else post here?

Some straightforwards might clear the air we'll see...

If the people that set-up this website don't find it worthy enough to post in, then maybe this website died awhile ago and nobody gave me the memo...lol If the people that set-up this website don't find it necessary to post here, then it's only logical... dah, dah, bah, bah, la, ma...

Do you notice a pattern here?

Statism Needs To Go!

The Mountain: Part 2 (a fictional short story)

The boy walks to the nearest beaver on the mountain slope. This beaver pushing mud has the weight of 10 people and the height of an ancient white pine tree. While the beaver waddles the enormous force in these steps shakes the boy making it difficult to walk any closer.
The beaver’s legs move no more, head turns, and eyes sight the boy not too far off, “Push mud, move trees, grow this mountain for ourselves we do.”
“I am a simple wanderer knowing not my place.”
“This is our job. This is how we get our bread to eat.”

The Mountain: Part 1 (a fictional short story)

The boy awakening from thousands of years in sleep rises from this slumber heeding the musically soft creek rippling over smooth rocks splashing lightly and tenderly soothing the spirit of the boy. A mountain has arisen out of the earth where once sat a swamp.
A great blue heron flying to the mountain throws fish upon its peek. The boy sights a stack of fish bones at the top, and beavers pushing and leaving swamp mud on the piling skeletons.
An old man shouts and awakens this boy from his unyielding gaze upon the mountain, “HEY!”

some thoughts on spirit

The spirit is the life-force of any particular thing, event, or entity, depends on your frame of thinking, your perspective. I'm going to go into these three "thing", "event", and "entity" for a moment to provide a common groundwork. For some "thing" is a signifier or a particular and that "thing" could be a person, tree, rock, or building or any other grammatical indicator such as a verb or adjective, etc.... Thus, in this framework of mine here "thing" is not solely a noun.

a dull story (a fictional short story)

Bright white spots with shades of gray-blue moves low near the horizon where the afternoon sun would be making its’ way down. This moon in the dark night and the spaces between all these trees scattered about straight, crooked, looped, and their thicknesses varying, root in this earth. Snow has been melting in the sun, and the streaming waters freeze as the night shadows cold. For two days now this day melting-night freezing has been the event. Red and rusty brown cardinals, black-capped chick-a-dees, and black crows… each to have found rest as the sun has disappeared.
